St. Louis here he comes!

Bralter called this morning to let us know that he was getting ready to get on the plane to Missouri. He flew out with Elder Francis. That was at 8:15 am. So by now he’s experiencing St. Louis! I have updated his address as well.

Companion Family Letter – Postmark June 20, 2012

Dear Stewart Family,

Hey I just wanted you to know how great your son is! I am from Syracuse, Utah. It is about an hour north of Salt Lake City.

It is an honor to be his companion! Even though we will only be here in the MTC for a few more days.

Thanks for raising your son to become who he is!

Sincerely,

Elder Staley

Email – June 21, 2012

Hey Mom, Dad, Ginny, Celina, Steph, Hunter, Conner, Kenneth, Angie, and the Galovichs,

I can only write to you guys on Thursdays and I have to be quick because we are timed to do our emails, so sorry if I can’t give you too much information. My companion’s name is Elder Staley, he is from Utah and is awesome and has ADHD haha.

I heard that Brandon is getting married from Sister Olheiser. Congrats!

Caleb and McCabe how are you guys? How’s the family?

Paul how are you and Carrie? I hope you got the letter I wrote to all of you guys from my parents.

The district is like our family here in the MTC. We are blessed to get along like brotherhood. I’m sending some more letters, and mom you can give me cookies from Dear Elder, get the good kind PLEASE they are heavenly. Doing some laundry now.

Did Dad ever get the pump fixed? That’s just our luck huh? Dad how are you? How are you coping. Are the twins helping…Caleb and McCabe hahahaha!

I’m having trouble trying to teach, it’s really hard to get the investigators to feel the spirit. The buildings here is like cookie-cutter buildings, they all look the same. Yesterday I got to host the new missionaries I only did two because everything that can be disastrous happened. Like the day wouldn’t work for this Elder and stuff.

Celina how are you? A letter is coming your way. Ginny how are you too and Steph and the boys? You liking it there? Kenneth how are you and Angie?

Sister Tippets how is she? I wrote to her so when you get it mom I would like you to read it to her if she can’t because of her eyes. Mom how are you? I hope things are good. Sunday the First Presidency is going to talk to us, I’m excited! I love you guys very much and miss you!

Love,
Elder Stewart

P.S.

Give Sister Olheiser and Sister Tippets a hug for me!

Dear Mom, Dad, Ginny, Celina, Stephanie, Hunter and Conner, Kenneth and Angie!

First day here at the MTC. I’m blessed with a companion that is totally awesome. There is this one Elder though…I don’t know if I have this effect on certain people, but I get the feeling like he’s trying to be better than me or something. He’s fine with the other Elders in my district but he tends to not talk to me, but he seems like he has a strong testimony and I hope that he succeeds in his mission. Luckily he’s not in my mission!

I hope and pray that my Father in Heaven will help me through this. There have already been some things that happened here that I’m dealing with. I don’t understand some things and I hope that it’ll pass.

I love you all and the church is true and the Savior is our leader!

Love,

Bralter

P.S.

Power went out, flashlight came in handy!

Dear Everyone!

This is awesome to be able to write to you today. I’m doing find and my district gets along very well. There is a weight lifting gym here, I’m so excited! The MTC is a very spiritual place, to me, praying to my Father in Heaven is so awesome! The teachers here give us such an enlightenment on the scriptures in a way that I have never noticed.

My district: Elder Gulbranson is from Canada…eh, same with Elder Beaumier (BOW-me-eh) Oh Canada! Elder Staley is my companion. He’s cool, he’s from Utah. Elder Palmer is from Arizona. Elder Romney (3rd cousin to Mitt Romney), Elder Gregory (is quite the person), and Elder Dixen are all from Utah as well. Then there is Elder Francis, he is tall, 6’6″ and he talks in his sleep.

The MTC is a great way to see how missionary work is so important to the Lord. I know why I’m here. The church is true. The Atonement has helped me so much. Now I’m going to do my best so other people can feel the Savior’s love. I feel it…my district feels it. I’m so grateful that we are doing His work right now.

I love you all so very much. I miss you. But the Savior lives and loves us too. Please pray for me and my district. Thanks for the letters. The letters I get do help tremendously. There are some here in my district that don’t get mail and it’s hard for them. I love you and wish the best for you.

The church is true. I know it and I can’t deny it. This is my testimony.

With Love,

Elder Stewart

Dear Mom, Dad, Virginia, Celina, Steph, the Boys, Kenneth and Angie, and the Galoviches,

How are you? Trying to write a letter is very difficult because it’s so busy! We woke up at 6:30, then we have breakfast, then we have classroom institution. This class deals with trying to teach investigators with the spirit. My teacher’s names are Brother Roberts and Brother Crandall. They say that they’re the best teachers the MTC has, so we’re blessed to have them. Then we have zone teaching. Here, we as missionaries pretend to be investigators, they teach then we repeat what they’ve taught. Yep, that’s the MTC. Each class is about 3-4 hours long, but we have gym class so we get to have some fun!

Today Sheri Dew talked with us. Something that she said hit me. She had an experience and she asked for a blessing and the brother said “why don’t you ask the Lord how the spirit teaches you and talks to you personally?” I think we all need to do that. To ask the Lord to tutor us.

Sunday the General Authorities are coming to talk to us, including the prophet! I hope I get to talk with him and the authorities! Every time I listen to them I get the sense of love from them and from the Lord. I want to talk to Henry B. Eyring and Jeffery R. Holland and David A. Bednar and Richard G. Scott and L. Tom Perry and Dallin H. Oaks and Russell…actually, I want to talk to all of them ha ha!

I have a special love for them and the prophet. I know he is our prophet. I feel it and I can not deny it. I wish I could be as spiritual as them, and why not? We all can be if we do what’s right and trust the Lord with all our heart.

The Mormon Message on the computer “Lifting Burdens: The Atonement of Jesus Christ“, very good.

The mission is tough. I love you and I want the best for you.

Caleb and McCabe – Prepare now for a mission. It will bless your life.

Brandon – Than you for being an example for me.

Paul and Carrie – Thank you for being my second parents! I love you and want the best for your whole family. I pray for you every day as well as for my family.

The church is true because I feel my Savior’s love and I cannot deny it.

With Love,

Elder Stewart

Called to serve…

Dear Lord, who blesses us with love
Please send this day thy Spirit from above
As this thy Son accepts a call from thee
Help him we pray, to learn humility

Direct his footsteps every day
And keep him ever walking in thy ways
Inspire him as he spreads the gospel plan
Lord hold him in the hollow of thy hand

In the hollow of thy hand
As he grows from boy to man
Help his understanding deepen and increase
In the hollow of thy hand
As he grows from boy to man
Let him know the special blessings of thy peace

Protect him from all worldly ways
And always send thy Spirit when he prays
Give him the courage of a righteous man
Just hold him in the hollow of thy hand

In the hollow of thy hand
As he grows from boy to man
Help his understanding deepen and increase
In the hollow of thy hand
As he grows from boy to man
Let him know the special blessings of thy peace

As he faces lifes demands
May he take a valliant stand
Give him shelter in the hollow of thy hand
